GeekVape Wenax SC Pod System is quite a tiny little POD device, cylindrical in shape, almost like a mini mech tube, except this one only runs at 18mm diameter! It’s only 110mm in length too so it fits in the hand quite comfortably and is easy to conceal if you need to! What a chic look this little guy has too! With its smooth, seamless shape, to it’s clean and rugged finish, it’s a looker! This champ is light also, only 44grams, you might be forgiven for pocketing it and forgetting that it’s even there!
It’s not just the looks that impress either.With an 1100mah internal battery, a 2ml eliquid capacity, 3 power settings, and 2 vaping options (button and auto-draw) all in this tiny frame, this will be something I’ll likely carry with me and keep handy for the foreseeable future!
Wenax SC Compatible Pod
The POD is quite an interesting design, carrying through the cylindrical design, it’s round with a flat bottom, and recess for the push in coil to seat. It looks to be a 2 piece POD, that is clipped together close to the bottom, I’ve had problems with these types of PODs before seeping through the seams, but this has held quite well, with zero seepage, so Geekvape must have used some type of sealing on it to keep things nice and clean. The POD only holds 2ml which is a little disappointing, I’m finding myself filling it really often. A slightly longer POD with a little larger capacity would have been an easy upgrade, and make a world of difference.
These PODs are pushed into the main body, held there by the two small dimples on the inside of the recess. It can take a little force to get them in there, but you’ll know when it’s seated when you hear and feel that ‘click’. Up top, and I know this is only a small thing, but Geekvape have been kind enough to give us a standard 510 drip tip connection, so you can put your favourite drip tip on there! Not only that but they’ve also supplied a 2nd type of drip tip in the pack. Fantastic!
GeekVape Wenax SC Pod System Airflow & Coils
Due to the small air holes, you won’t be taking big Direct to Lung hits from this, it’s catered more for those looking for a reasonably tight to very tight airflow and it does this really well. I’ve found the combination of coils supplied and the position of the airflow holes to be a great way to get the right kind of airflow. On the one hand the pre-installed G Coil Pod Formula Mesh 0.6ohm coil can be a little on the looser side for Mouth to Lung vaping, you can put a finger over one of the airflow holes and get the airflow a touch tighter, this is almost perfect! This coil is better suited for those who use freebase nicotine and don’t mind a slightly looser MTL draw, or a very restricted DTL inhale.
Geekvape also provide you with a second coil, this one 1.2ohms and designed to offer an even tighter draw. I’ve found that this coil is much better suited to those who like a really tight MTL airflow, great for vaping with Nicotine salt. The flavour of both coils is great, the 0.6ohm obviously the winner for flavour due to the mesh, and the lower resistance, and the 1.2ohm lacking a little and better suited to juices that have a huge flavour punch to them. You might even find those types of juices a little lack lustre with this coil, but it is a tight mouth to lung coil, so that’s to be a expected.
